Unkown New York, the City that Women Built

Architect and film maker Barbara Willis talks about her eye-opening 17 minute film, Unknown New York, the City that Women Built. The film sheds light on the oft-ignored woman architect in architectural history books and references. Prompted by the fact that few asked could name five women architects, Willis’ also founded the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation to address disparity and was recently named one of the world’s most influential people by Time magazine. Here’s a terrific interview with   dezeen’s Eleanor Gibson about the New York that women built.
